Brighton Sheet Metal is a strong believer in the lean manufacturing culture and started on the lean journey in February 2007 with the help of MAS. Lean is very much established as the driving force in all the company’s processes and procedures.
Lean has completely changed the mind set and mentality towards waste and non-value production of all Brighton Sheet Metal employees - from the very top management, all the way down the spectrum and across the shop floor where all team leaders and charge-hands have gained an NVQ level 2 in lean practices.
Brighton Sheet Metal believes and practices the principles and techniques of fast flexible flow and kanban as well as two bin systems and direct line feed; these have enabled the company to provide an enhanced service for its customers. Brighton Sheet Metal has been running kanban and DLF for more than a decade and has really seen the benefits of combining lean and kanban.
